Preparatory Inspections

What we do:

We conduct strict uncompromising preparatory inspections on behalf of Ships Owners- Operators & Charterers. Highlighting the short falls in the shipboard board & office management. These when corrected provide guaranteed results. The onus of corrective action remains yours. These avoid immediate failures & commercially serious outcomes. The years that we have spent on board vessels when further enhanced with the added knowledge gained in the Inspection field. As all our consultants are specially trained Inspectors. Provide us the much needed insight into errors & omissions. We endeavour to assist towards satisfactory conclusions. Results & benefits are seen instantly after positive corrective action is taken. Our attendances & findings which are strictly confidential assist relieve the already over strained Office & ship management teams. As a much needed extension. Our track record is impeccable. As can be established from our diverse and varying satisfied clients.

This is what it is:

The result of Charterers inspection governs the commercial viability for the subsequent trading of the vessel. Emphasis is now placed on the number & content of the observation findings noted by PSC, Terminal, OCIMF Members & CDI inspectors. The inspection regimes continue to get stricter. Transparency of content is starting to increase. As one report may be reviewed by a multiple of approved evaluators & prospective charterers.

The structural & cosmetic condition has an important part to play. This can be taken care of with the younger age ( new builds ) & physical state of the vessel. Well conducted Dry docks & the provision of maintenance – riding squads. Along with the well managed & drawn out maintenance plans.

Accidents & Incidents that are a result of inadequate training & knowledge due to the competency, training & education levels that are found on board the vessel may have far reaching results in the outcome of the Inspection. Operational short falls, detentions, serious incidents & accidents continue to be noted. Budgets are strained. Paper work undertaken by the Office staff & ships complement has further increased. No immediate respite seems in sight. The limited resources that are now available for the office staff to visit & re-visit vessel are overstretched.
